Today after church it was time for Christmas #3. Off to my mother in law's house we went. Of course I had camera in hand and at the ready. I think my family is going to go nuts with me owning this camera. But that's okay, they love me.
First step of course, figuring out the lighting. Do I need flash, what f-stop, which shutter speed. Do I adjust the ISO. Oh my, so many things to get right. I took a lot of photos, some much better than others. But slowly I can see I am figuring out a few things here and there. No doubt in my mind though, I really need photography lessons. Brian and I have plans to meet with the photo professional in Fenton. I am hoping that will help a lot.
The really good thing about tonight though, I got some great camera stuff. I got my AC adapter, an extra battery, a 64gb memory card, extension lens and the camera sling bag that I really really wanted. It was great!!
I also fell off my healthy eating bandwagon. Not horribly but I did fall and I am not sorry. I will be back on that horse soon enough. I realize that isn't photo oriented but you are going to see some food photos in the album and that will show you why I fell off that wagon. LOL
I have a couple of macro style photos that I took with my extension lens. The room was pretty dark but they are kind of cool. I will learn how to use those properly soon enough too.
So, one more Christmas to go. Tomorrow, a day at home with my husband. I am so looking forward to it.
I am embarking on a new hobby with my husband. An interest I had as a child has recently been reignited. This blog is an outline of my journey as I learn the skill of photography and maintaining a journal through photo and video medium.
