As much as I want to just go play with my camera, the real world does exist. I made myself get tackle my task before my hobby. That included, baking some more bread. coloring my hair, showering, going to work for a bit to tie up loose ends, stopping at the grocery store, stopping at the shoe store, and dropping off packages and mail.
So I did get a lot accomplished. Before I headed for home, I decided to go into downtown Grand Blanc and try my hand at some motion photos with traffic. Why of course I brought my camera with me, who doesn't go prepared for taking photos? Also, I just wanted to concentrate on some still photos with different levels of light. I have so much to learn. I decided to start labeling my photos with the shutter speed and F stop number I use as well as exposure settings. This way I can go back and determine what works and what doesn't.
I ended up with a couple of fairly decent photos. As I was packing up, a Grand Blanc police officer pulled up to ask me what was so interesting that I was taking photos? I think he was actually just checking up on me and what I was up to. As I approached his car, we recognized each other. Turns out we have known each other for years. He married a girl I went to high school with and we also knew each other from my old EMS days. We had a nice little chat and then I needed to get out of the cold. It does seem the temps are dropping.
In addition to these outside photos. I ended up with a couple more really great photos of my favorite model, my dog, Mac. I'll post a few here, but you can check them out on the album page. Just click on any photo below.
I am embarking on a new hobby with my husband. An interest I had as a child has recently been reignited. This blog is an outline of my journey as I learn the skill of photography and maintaining a journal through photo and video medium.
